You will serve as a LEAD FIREFIGHTER (BASIC LIFE SUPPORT/ HAZMAT OPS) in the Navy Fire and Emergency Services for the NB SAN DIEGO.Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:1) Driving and operating firefighting vehicles and associated equipment of significant complexity; 2) Maintaining knowledge of emergency first aid techniques; 3) applying knowledge of facility layouts and the location and operation of alarm/suppression control panels, hydrants, utility shutoffs, and suppression systems. NOTE: This experience must be supported by your resume.
This position requires the incumbent to possess the following certifications for this position: Fire Fighter II (under NFPA standards adopted by DoD; Airport Fire Fighter (under NFPA standards adopted by DoD; Apparatus Driver-Operator for Pumper, Airport Rescue Firefighting (ARFF), and Aerial vehicles, NREMT, Fire Officer I, Fire Inspector I, and Fire Instructor I.
If you do not possess all of the above certifications and you have not attached a copy of your transcript or certifications, you will be rated ineligible.
