POSITION TITLE: STAFF EMT BASIC
BASIC FUNCTIONS:
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:
RESPONSIBILITY:
The EMT is directly responsible to the shift supervisor.
The primary functional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Read and understand the company’s Policy and Procedure Manual.
Reporting on time and in uniform for their assigned shift in good mental and physical health.
Maintain appropriate certifications (MA and/or RI) in order to function as an EMT legally.
Ensure that the assigned vehicle is stocked, serviced, and cleaned as specified in the daily checklist.
Assure all biomedical equipment is checked, operated and maintained in accordance with manufacturer’s standards.
Perform, with a good attitude, all job tasks assigned by the Base Supervisor or other managerial personnel.
Maintain the base living quarters (bunkroom, TV room, bathrooms, garage bay, etc.) in clean and sanitary condition.
Greet all inspection personnel both within the company and State or local officials professionally, courteously and with enthusiasm.
