FULL-TIME FIREFIGHTER/PARAMEDIC

Due to retirement within our department, the Town of Medway seeks qualified applicants for two (2) full-time positions of Firefighter/Paramedic. Responsibilities include responding to medical emergencies, fire suppression, fire prevention, and station duties.

Minimum Qualifications:

Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Must possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Must possess an active Paramedic license issued by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health.
Must have the ability to pass Criminal Offender Record Information (CORI) check, comprehensive physical exam, drug test, and physical ability test (PAT).

Preferred Qualifications

Successful completion of the Massachusetts Firefighting Academy.

Candidates and Veterans with previous successful completion of the MA Fire Academy or equivalent and at least 2 years of experience as a Paramedic in a 911 service will be given preference.

This is s full-time benefits-eligible union position. The starting salary range is $72,077 - $94,647* annually, and the full salary range is $72,077 - $96,540* annually. There are educational stipends available. ** Preference will be given to applicants who apply by noon on Friday, July 25, 2025. The position will be open until it is filled.
