You will serve as a SUPERVISORY FIREFIGHTER in the FIRE & EMERGENCY SERVICES DIVISION of OLF SAN NIC.Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-08 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
1) Lead day to day operations for assigned shift providing guidance on firefighter related procedures;
2) Fight structural and airfield fires using pre-fire planning methods and familiarity of layouts and design;
3) Operate firefighting emergency vehicles and equipment;
4) Provide hazardous material incident response; and,
5) Provide basic life support procedures as needed for each emergency call.
NOTE: This experience must be supported by your resume.
This position requires the incumbent to possess the following certifications for the GS 09: Fire Officer III, Fire Instructor II, Fire Inspector II, HAZMAT Incident Commander, and Airport Firefighter. The fire certifications must have been awarded by the DoD, IFSAC, or ProBoard to meet the requirement. If you do not possess all of the above certifications and you have not attached copies of your certifications, you will be rated ineligible.
