You will serve as a Supervisory Firefighter (Supervisory Station Captain) with in the Naval Base Coronado Fire and Emergency Services (NBC FES) of NB CORONADO.Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-08 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
1) Supervising the day-to-day operations for assigned shift providing guidance on firefighter related procedures;
2) Serving as the Incident Commander and/or Company Officer during emergency responses to include (but not limited to) Structural response, Shipboard response, Airfield response, Hazardous Materials response, Technical Rescue response, Wildland response, and BLS/ALS Emergency Medical Services;
3) Supervising the operation of firefighting emergency vehicles and equipment; and,
4) Supervising and/or providing basic life support procedures as needed.
Required DoD Certifications (IFSAC, Pro Board):
Employee is required to be Department of Defense (DOD) certified Firefighter I & Firefighter II, Fire Officer I & Fire Officer II, Fire Inspector I, Fire Instructor I, Airport Firefighter, HAZMAT Awareness, Operations, Technician and HAZMAT Incident Commander, Driver Operator Pumper, and National Registry Emergency.
Medical Technician - Basic (NREMT)
Preferred DoD Certifications (IFSAC, Pro Board):
Marine/Shipboard Firefighter
Driver Operator - Aerial
Driver Operator - ARFF
